Photosyntesis Process

Food making process in green plant and algae is also called photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis is procces in making food that happens in leaf, it is done by chlorophyl and sunlight.

  Photosythesis happens in green plant that commonly has pigment   called chlorophyl. Chlorophyl is found in chloroplast. Material that   needed in photosynthesis is H2O and CO2. Water is absorbed from soil   by xylem, continuing from root to the leaf. CO2 comes from air that    product of organism respiration. Photosyntesis need sunlight and result   glucosa and oxygen

Chloroplast

From its structure, chloroplast consist of :

1. Stroma

  Stroma is a double membrane that cover an area  fill with liquid. Its membrane form a system of tilacoid membrane like a build is called tilacoid sack.

2. Grana

  Grana is layers that consist of tilacoid sacks. Chlorophyl occur in tilacoid membrane and change sunlight become chemical energy. Making of glucosa as a final result of photosyntesis is in stroma.

REACTION

1. Bright Reaction

is in grana. In this reaction, plant absorb water and CO2 and process it with sunlight that catched by chlorophyl.

Phases of photosynthesis process:

a. Light reach leaf that contain chlorophyl

b. Chlrophyl absorb sunlight and change it become chemical energy

c. Air that contain CO2 enter leaf through stomata and spread in leaf cells

d. Root absorb water that plant needed in photosyntesis

e. Water flows from root to the leaf throught stem

f. Result of photosynthesis is glucosa and oxygen

Reaction

2. Dark Reaction (CALVIN CYCLE )

Dark reaction (siklus Calvin) happens in stroma. Process in calvin cycle are :

a. H2 that released from water molecule will bound (H2O) by NADP and form NADPH2

b. O2 still in free condition

c. Hidrogen join with CO2  and form glucosa

c. happens siklik reaction, make glucosa from CO2 and energy (ATP dan NADPH). Its reaction  doesn’t need light

d. Energy comes from bright reaction

e. In this reaction happens celluler respiration

f.  Respiration happens in night. Respiration of plant release CO2, H2O, and energy.
